How to get here

By car

(40 km, approximately 1 hour)

  • On the A8 motorway, take exit 36 for Le Muy, Saint-Tropez, Draguignan.
  • 100 metres after the exit, go straight over the first roundabout heading towards Draguignan.
  • At the second roundabout, go straight over again, still heading towards Draguignan.
  • At the third roundabout, turn right, heading towards Digne Canjuers (please note: just after the road fork, there is a road on the right signposted La Motte - do not take this road)
  • At the fourth roundabout, go straight over, still heading towards Digne Canjuers.
  • Km 17.5: sign for Montferrat - Comps-sur-Artuby - you're on the right road.
  • Km 19.8: sign for Digne – Comps-sur-Artuby - you're right on track.
  • Km 23.9: at the bottom of the incline, the road will bend to the right. Keep heading in the direction of Digne – Montferrat - Comps-sur-Artuby. 2 km further on, drive past the village of Montferrat on your right and stay on the main road. You’re 15/16 km from Comps-sur-Artuby.
  • Km 30: at the small crossroad, stay on the main road that turns left. Continue in the direction of Comps-sur-Artuby for 13 km.

Once at Comps, go over the traffic lights and pass the service station at the exit of the village. Keep right and follow the sign for La Bastide.
After 10 kilometres or so, you'll come to a crossroad. Turn right following the sign for La Roque-Esclapon 1.5. Drive into the village, past the fountain, and up to the war memorial. Continue for about 10 metres then immediately turn right. Go past “La Bruyère” auberge communale and continue for a hundred metres or so. Eureka! You've arrived!

Notre-Dame three-star campsite is nestled between the mountain massifs of Malay and Brouis, at the foot of Mont Lachens, (the Roof of the Var, altitude 1,715 m).
During your summer break, you'll be less than a two-hour drive from Fréjus, Saint-Raphaël, Cannes, Nice, and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez - providing you don't mind plunging into the waves of summer traffic down at the coast – fine by some.
